Odds converter
Convert fractional to decimal odds and back, and see the implied probability behind any price.
Implied probability is 1 ÷ decimal odds — the chance the price is pricing in (before the bookmaker's margin). Beating it consistently is where value lives.
Fractional vs decimal odds
Fractional odds (like 5/2) show your profit relative to the stake: 5/2 returns £5 profit for every £2 staked. Decimal odds (3.5) show the total return including your stake, so they're easier to compare and to multiply for accumulators. To convert, divide the fraction and add one: 5/2 → 2.5 + 1 = 3.5.
The implied probability is simply 1 ÷ the decimal odds — the chance the price is pricing in. Add up a race's implied probabilities and they exceed 100%: that excess is the bookmaker's margin. Finding runners whose true chance beats their implied price is exactly where value lives — see what CLV is and how markets price a horse.
