Royal Ascot

Five days of championship flat racing and pageantry — the highlight of the British summer.

Royal Ascot is the showpiece of the British flat season: five days in June combining the very best racing with the pageantry of the royal procession and famous dress codes. The quality is exceptional and international — sprinters, milers, middle-distance stars and stayers from around the world converge, and the form works out strongly through the rest of the summer.

Ascot is a galloping, right-handed track with a stiff uphill finish, plus a straight course used up to a mile. Stamina and class are rewarded, and on the straight-track sprints the draw and pace can genuinely matter — in big fields the runners often split across the track, so watch how the early races ride on the day. With so many well-bred, top-yard horses in opposition, market moves and elite trainer form carry real weight here.

The championship races

  • Gold Cup
  • Prince of Wales's Stakes
  • Queen Anne Stakes
  • Diamond Jubilee Stakes

How Algohorse reads the Royal Ascot

Through the meeting, our model reads every race — probabilities and value against the market — and publishes its selections, registered before the off and graded against the result. See today's racecards or how it works.
